Veneered wall panelling

Every wall system is made to measure.
The surface finish and the burned 3D graphic are entirely of your choosing.

A veneered wall system is a composition of elements that together form a flat timber wall. Its slender build suits it to practically any interior — it can be laid even on a light load-bearing wall, or in a small room, without taking valuable floor space. The veneer laid rightly across the separate elements of the wall system gives the impression of one continuous surface.

Our clients may choose from hundreds of native and exotic veneers natural and engineered alike, in three finishes: matt, satin and high gloss. Each sits beautifully among timber, glass or metal fittings. Integrated wall systems with timber wall panelling may be the principal decorative point of an interior, or the ground against which furniture of any style is set. The natural material from which veneer is made suits a great range of interior styles, and modernist rooms in particular.

Veneer on the wall — natural beauty in your home

Finishing an interior is the art of shaping a space that reflects the character and manner of those who live in it. Among the many options, bespoke veneered wall panelling is gaining ground, offering not only beauty but durability and function. The solution of timber veneer on the wall, in the form of panelling, unites the beauty of a natural material with modern making — an effect at once subtle and distinct.

The material comes as thin leaves of timber, obtained by slicing or peeling the trunk of a tree. Most often it is between 0.5 mm and about 0.8 mm thick. Veneer made to measure is used to give finishing pieces such as furniture or doors the beauty and elegance of natural timber. The technique makes efficient use of precious species, drawing out their beauty while containing the cost.

In choosing veneered walls, one invests in timeless elegance. Timber veneer on the wall is a thin layer of real wood, keeping its own figure and texture, and giving an interior warmth. Every leaf is singular, which makes the room singular too, and full of character.

Veneer is bonded first to MDF or particle board, and the MDF panel with its veneer is then fixed directly to the wall.

Veneered walls — an original design

It is worth noting that many makers use modern methods of working timber, which allow a range of textures and figures. This opens wide possibilities of arrangement. The separate elements may be joined into original compositions — bespoke wall panelling that is a work in its own right. Veneer on the wall can also be stained and lacquered, which widens its use further still.

The merits of veneered wall panelling

Furnishing a home is a demanding journey, and one in which it is worth choosing solutions made for years. Bespoke veneered timber wall panelling is precisely that.

The merits of veneer on a wall include:

As a finishing material, veneered panelling offers unrivalled possibilities in interior design. It is, without question, a byword for elegance, endurance and care for the environment. Wall panelling allows one to make singular, warm and memorable spaces. The idea serves as well in public buildings — hotel lobbies, waiting rooms — as in the quiet of a home, wherever a note of timber is wanted.
